Our Structure
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
This is the body that provides overall direction of the organization. The Management Committee/National Board implements the decisions made by the AGM in collaboration with the secretariat. It also provides oversight on programs implementation.
Secretariat runs the day to day affairs of the organization. The Slow Food Kenya secretariat is based in Nakuru, located 150 Km North West of Nairobi. The secretariat is headed by the associations’ country coordinator who is also the its CEO and Secretary to the board.
The organization acts at local level through its Local Chapters (convivia) and Food Communities that spread the associations’ Philosophy at community level. Food communities are the target beneficiaries who participate in the identification of the organization’s needs and priorities.
