Policy, Advocacy and Networking
We engage in advocacy at local and national levels to influence policies that protect biodiversity,
promote agroecology, and secure the right to healthy food. By working in networks and building
partnerships, Slow Food Kenya amplifies farmers’ voices and strengthens the movement for fair
and sustainable food systems.
- Policy and Advocacy: Slow Food Kenya engages stakeholders from county and national governments, civil society, the private sector, learning and research institutions, farmer groups, and development partners to advance agro-biodiversity conservation and agroecology. The organization advocates for policies and frameworks that promote sustainable, eco-friendly agriculture and strengthen biodiversity conservation in Kenya. Through continuous dialogue and collaboration, Slow Food Kenya influences decision-making processes that shape equitable and resilient food systems.
- Networking and Partnership: Slow Food Kenya works through a diverse network of like-minded organizations, county governments, and research and learning institutions to enhance collaboration and impact. By building strategic partnerships, the organization shares knowledge, mobilizes resources, and fosters collective action that supports agroecology, biodiversity, and sustainable rural development across the country.
